This article proposes a smoke exhaust loop network system based on the branch system. Taking the tall space of a large sports building competition venue as an example, this paper compares the feasibility of three smoke exhaust systems, including the branch system, single-source loop network system, and multi-source loop network system. The hydraulic calculation method is used to analyse the conditions of several smoke exhaust systems to meet GB 51251-2017Technicalstandardforsmokemanagementsystemsinbuildings, and to provide the percentage of air duct optimization limits for the single-source loop network system. Based on the reliability theory, the failure rate and reliability of the smoke exhaust loop network system under common accidents are analysed. The results show that the loop network system can effectively improve system reliability. The fault rate of a single-source loop network system is 28.1% of a branch system, and the fault rate of a multi-source loop network system in this project is 11.6% of a branch system.
